We’ve all seen how popular Banh Mi has become; markets across the world all have a Banh Mi stall, there are Vietnamese restaurants making Banh Mi a main feature on the menu and even Anthony Bourdain has searched high and low for the best Banh Mi.

Our 12 hour bus journey from Cambodia to Vietnam was uneventful other than the bus breaking down, diesel leaking over our rucksacks, and being eaten alive by mosquitoes in the border crossing waiting room. Despite all that it didn’t dampen our spirits because we were really excited about Vietnam. Well, more so about the food. .. |
